Byland Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in Loudonville, OH. We offer services for both small and large animals in Ashland and adjacent counties.

  • Jeff Byers, DVM

    Dr. Jeff Byers is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science, having served on the 1977 General Livestock Judging Team.  He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1982.  He is also a graduate of the Dairy Health Management Certificate Program at Michigan State and Ohio State Universities.

    Dr. Byers' primary veterinary focus is dairy and beef cattle herd health management with special emphasis on reproduction, including embryo implant services and ultrasound.

    He and his wife Marti live on the family farm where they raise registered Polled Shorthorn cattle.  Marti is a retired 4th grade teacher after 35 years with the Hillsdale School district.  They have two grown children, Mike and Tara, and a granddaughter, Marie. They have a dog named Debbie.

  • Rebecca Cawrse, DVM

    Dr. Becky Cawrse grew up north of New London on a commercial hog farm.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Ohio State in 1995 and received her DVM from Ohio State in 1999.  She spent 1 year in western NY, then 6 1/2 years in Ft. Recovery, OH before coming to Byland.  She has been at Byland since 2007.  She enjoys working with livestock producers and pet owners to provide the best medical care for her patients.

    Dr. Cawrse and her husband, Mark, have 3 children: Anthony, Allison, and Austin, their Golden Retriever Brutus, and a cat named Mix.  She is a member of the Ashland County Board of Health, a Girl Scout troop leader and she and Mark are active members of St. Peter's Church in Loudonville.

  • Laura Conley, DVM

    Dr. Laura Conley grew up in Sylvania, OH, graduated from the University of Findlay in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology, and graduated from The Ohio State University with her DVM in 2015.  She enjoys the variety of mixed animal practice, with special interests in dairy and equine herd health and companion animal medicine. She and her husband, Jim, live in Loudonville with their cat, Greycie, and standard poodles, Greta and Aldo.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, working on home improvement projects, playing violin, traveling and hiking.

  • Erika Osborne, DVM

    Dr. Erika Osborne grew up in Cherry Valley, NY. She graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland in 2013, with a Bachelor of Science degree, and completed her DVM in 2018 at The Ohio State University. She enjoys caring for both companion and farm animals with a special interest in dairy and calf management. Erika has two cats, Doc and Magnum, and a few Holstein dairy cows on her family's dairy farm in upstate New York. In her free time, Erika likes spending time with her family, playing ice hockey, reading, hiking, and kayaking.

  • Kelly Quesinberry, DVM

    Dr. Kelly Quesinberry grew up in Huntingtown, Maryland, just an hour south of Washington DC. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Science and a double major in Animal Science from Virginia Tech. She received her DVM in 2019 at The Ohio State University. What drew her to mixed animal practice is the variety of cases and the ability to work with all types of patients. She particularly enjoys working with horses and dairy cows. In her free time, she loves to spend time outdoors running, strength training, hiking, camping, and spending time with her horse Cherokee.

  • Morgan Kline, RVT

    Morgan is a registered veterinary technician, a 2018 graduate of the Bradford Veterinary Technical Institute. She loves both large animal and small animal medicine. In her free time, Morgan enjoys spending time outdoors and with family and friends. Her pets include two rescues, a dog Abby and a cat Styx, as well as a goat, Clover.

    Registered Veterinary Technician
    Teri is a registered veterinary technician who is a 2019 graduate of the Bradford Veterinary Technical Institute. She has interests in large, small and exotic animal medicine. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, bonfires and relaxing. She has two dogs, Snort and Waffles.

    Haley is a front office receptionist.  She lives in Perrysville with her husband, Marty, and 2 children - Payton and Landon.  She has a passion for caring for cats and kittens, all of her current felines are rescues. They also have 3 dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family.
