Dr. Jeff Byers is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science, having served on the 1977 General Livestock Judging Team. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1982. He is also a graduate of the Dairy Health Management Certificate Program at Michigan State and Ohio State Universities. Dr. Byers' primary veterinary focus is dairy and beef cattle herd health management with special emphasis on reproduction, including embryo implant services and ultrasound. He and his wife Marti live on the family farm where they raise registered Polled Shorthorn cattle. Marti is a retired 4th grade teacher after 35 years with the Hillsdale School district. They have two grown children, Mike and Tara, and a granddaughter, Marie. They have a dog named Debbie.
